PESHAWAR:(Zameeni Haqaiq) Observing international women day, sports function was held at Government City Girls Degree College Gulbahar.
The special guest of the function was Prof. Tahira Dar, Principal, City Girls College, while Director Sports Najma Naaz Qazi, Jamila Naaz and a large number of teachers and students were present.
In the tug-of-war event of the program held on the occasion of International Women’s Day in the greenery of Government City Girls’ College, the second year students of FA won the first position and the first year students won the second position.
In the match between the teachers, the senior staff got the honor of winning. In the three-legged competition, second year students Sania and Nargis won the first position, Alina and Shumaila won the second position while Tajalah and Sumbal of BS Urdu won the first position. Javeria of Physics Department won the first and Halima won the gold medal.
Addressing the function, Principal Tahira Dar said that it is important to organize sports competitions in educational institutions as they pay special attention to healthy activities like sports. In the end, he gave trophies to the students who took positions in different competitions.
